Abstract

• West Sumatra's export value in April 2019 reached US$104.25 million, there was a decrease of 12.37 percent compared to exports March 2019.

• Cumulatively, West Sumatra exports January-April 2019 reached US$404.57 million or a decrease of 25.44 percent compared to the same period the previous year.

• The largest category of export goods in April 2019 are animal/vegetable fats & oils amounting to US$ 63.71 million, followed by the rubber group and rubber goods of US$29.96 million.

• Exports to the United States play a large role 22.26 percent of the total exports of West Sumatra and India 19.60 percent in January-April 2019.

• By sector, exports of processing industry products in April 2019 experienced a decrease of 12.24 percent compared to Export March 2019.

• Value of exports of goods originating from West Sumatra Province which was sent through several ports in Indonesia in April 2019 was recorded at US$105.37 million, down 13.00 percent compared to Exports in March 2019.

• Cumulatively the value of exports of goods originating from Sumatra West January-April 2019 reached US$421.61 million or decreased amounted to 22.70 percent compared to the same period last year previously.
