Abstract

• West Sumatra's export value in September 2019 reached US$138.12 million, an increase of 26.68 percent compared to exports in August 2019.

• Cumulatively, West Sumatra exports January-September 2019 reached US$961.59 million or a decrease of 21.10 percent compared to the same period the previous year. • The most exported goods categories in September 2019 The largest is animal/vegetable fats & oils amounting to US$100.14 million, followed by the rubber and rubber goods category of US$22.79 million.

• Exports to the United States play a big role 20.38 percent of the total exports of West Sumatra and India 19.76 percent in January-September 2019.

• By sector, exports of processing industry products month September 2019 experienced an increase of 26.36 percent compared to August 2019 exports.

• Value of exports of goods originating from West Sumatra Province which was sent through several ports in Indonesia on September 2019 recorded US$146.07 million, an increase of 32.19 percent compared to exports in August 2019.

• Cumulatively the value of exports of goods originating from Sumatra West January-September 2019 reached US$994.10 million or decreased by 17.46 percent compared to the same period previous year.
