Abstract

• West Sumatra's export value in October 2019 reached US$106.57 million, a decrease of 22.85 percent compared to exports in September 2019.

• Cumulatively, West Sumatra exports January-October 2019 reached US$1068.16 million or a decrease of 21.15 percent compared to the same period the previous year.

• The most exported goods categories in October 2019 The largest is animal/vegetable fats & oils amounting to US$78.53 million, followed by the rubber and rubber goods category of US$14.29 million.

• Exports to the United States play a big role 20.49 percent of the total exports of West Sumatra and India 19.84 percent in January-October 2019.

• By sector, exports of processing industry products month October 2019 experienced a decline of 22.07 percent compared to September 2019 exports.

• Value of exports of goods originating from West Sumatra Province which was sent through several ports in Indonesia on October 2019 recorded US$107.72 million, down 26.25 percent compared to exports in September 2019.

• Cumulatively the value of exports of goods originating from Sumatra West January-October 2019 reached US$1101.83 million or decreased by 17.79 percent compared to the same period previous year.
