A. EXPORT
• The value of exports through export ports in West Sumatra in October 2020 was US$130.07 million, an increase of 5.66 percent compared to exports in September 2020.
• Cumulatively, West Sumatra's exports from January to October 2020 reached US$1,133.25 million or an increase of 6.09 percent compared to the same period the previous year.
• The largest category of export goods in October 2020 was animal/vegetable fats & oils amounting to US$104.03 million, followed by rubber and rubber goods amounting to US$15.80 million.
• In the January-October 2020 period, exports to India played a role of 25.34 percent of total exports from West Sumatra and the United States played a role of 17.59 percent.
• By sector, exports of processing industry products in October 2020 increased by 5.84 percent compared to exports in September 2020.
• The export value of goods originating from West Sumatra Province sent through several ports in Indonesia in October 2020 was recorded at US$142.71 million, an increase of 6.54 percent compared to exports in September 2020.
• Cumulatively, the export value of goods originating from West Sumatra from January to October 2020 reached US$1,226.00 million or an increase of 11.27 percent compared to the same period the previous year.
B. IMPORT
• The import value of West Sumatra in October 2020 reached US$13.87 million, a decrease of 40.69 percent compared to imports in September 2020.
• The import value in October 2020 fell by 35.72 percent compared to the same month the previous year.
• Cumulatively, the import value of West Sumatra in January-October 2020 reached US$166.10 million or a decrease of 57.53 percent compared to the same period the previous year.
• The largest categories of imported goods in October 2020 were mineral fuels at US$10.57 million, salt, sulfur and lime at US$1.88 million.
• The largest supplier of imports in October 2020 was Singapore worth US$8.12 million
• During the January-October 2020 period, imports from Singapore occupied the top position with a role of 41.26 percent.
• West Sumatra's import value of US$13.87 million came from the Teluk Bayur unloading port.
• West Sumatra imports in October 2020 were in the raw/auxiliary materials category, amounting to US$13.87 million.
