Abstract

• West Sumatra's export value in February 2019 reached US$92.69 million, an increase of 4.54 percent compared to exports in January 2019.

• Cumulatively, West Sumatra exports January-February 2019 reached US$181.35 million or decreased by 36.04 percent compared to the same period the previous year.

• The most exported goods categories in February 2019 Large is animal/vegetable fats & oils amounting to US$66.71 million, followed by the rubber and rubber goods category of US$14.37 million.

• Exports to India contributed 28.01 percent of total exports from West Sumatra and America Union 24.68 percent in January-February 2019.

• By sector, exports of processing industry products month February 2019 experienced an increase of 5.71 percent compared to exports in January 2019.

• Value of exports of goods originating from West Sumatra Province which was sent through several ports in Indonesia on February 2019 recorded US$101.06 million, an increase of 7.44 percent Compared to exports in January 2019.

• Cumulatively the value of exports of goods originating from Sumatra West January-February 2019 reached US$195.13 million or decreased by 32.61 percent compared to the same period previous year.
