Abstract

• West Sumatra's export value in January 2019 reached US$88.66 million, a decrease of 21.79 percent compared to exports in December 2018.

• The largest category of export goods in January 2019 are animal/vegetable fats & oils amounting to US$ 60.77 million, followed by the rubber group and rubber goods of US$14.61 million. • Exports to the United States play a big role 25.86 percent of total exports from West Sumatra and to India 22.38 percent in January 2019.

• By sector, exports of processing industry products month January 2019 experienced a decline of 23.25 percent Compared to December 2018 exports.

• Value of exports of goods originating from West Sumatra Province which was sent through several ports in Indonesia on January 2019 was recorded at US$94.06 million, down 18.14 percent Compared to exports in December 2018.
