Abstract

• West Sumatra's economy is measured based on the amount of Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) on the basis of the current price for the second quarter of 2019 reached IDR 61.33 trillion and based on constant prices in 2010, it reached IDR 42.78 trillion.

• West Sumatra's economy in the second quarter of 2019 grew 5.02 percent (y-on-y) slowed down compared to the same period in the previous year was 5.09 percent. From the production side, growth is driven by almost all business fields except for Processing and Service Industry Business Fields Finance, with the highest growth achieved Field Government Administration, Defense and Services Businesses Mandatory Social Security grew 9.48 percent.
