Abstract

• Deflation in Padang City occurred due to a decline in the index which is quite large in the food ingredients group, namely: 2.50 percent. Meanwhile, other expenditure groups experienced enhancement. Deflation in the city of Bukittinggi is caused by decrease in index in 2 (two) expenditure groups. Decrease The highest occurred in the food expenditure group amounting to 2.58 percent.

• Inflation rate for the calendar year to February 2019 in Padang City And Bukittinggi City each experienced deflation of 0.20 percent 0.87 percent. Padang city year-on-year inflation rate (February 2018 Against February 2019) of 2.00 percent, and the city of Bukittinggi By 1.56 percent.

• Of the 23 (twenty three) CPI cities in Sumatra, 2 (two) cities experienced inflation and 21 (twenty one) cities experienced deflation. Inflation occurred in the city of Batam at 0.26 percent; and in Tanjung Pinang by 0.04 percent. Of the 21 cities experiencing deflation, the highest occurred in Tanjung Pandan at 0.82 percent and the lowest in Metro cities amounted to 0.04 percent. Padang City ranks 10th (tenth) and Bukittinggi ranks 7th out of 21 (twenty one) cities experiencing deflation in Sumatra. By Nationally, the city of Padang ranks 21st (twenty-one) and Bukittinggi ranks 18th out of 69 (sixty nine) Which is experiencing deflation.
