Abstract

• West Sumatra's NTP for November 2019 was recorded at 96.99 or an increase of 1.17 percent compared to the previous month recorded amounting to 95.87 (October 2019). Price index received by farmers (It) experienced an increase of 1.30 percent and the index the price paid by farmers (Ib) has increased by 0.13 percent.

• In November 2019 NTP for each subsector recorded at 94.76 for the food crops subsector (NTPP), 84.04 for the horticulture subsector (NTPH), 100.95 for smallholder plantation crops subsector (NTPR), 105.39 for livestock subsector (NTPT), and 102.35 for the subsector fisheries (NTPN). The fisheries subsector is divided into two, namely the capture fisheries and aquaculture subsectors with NTP of 104.94 and 101.72 respectively.

• Regionally, in West Sumatra in November 2019 Inflation occurred in rural areas of 0.14 percent caused by all expenditure groups: material group food (0.09 percent), prepared food group, Beverages, Cigarettes and Tobacco (0.28 percent), housing group (0.02 percent), clothing group (0.09 percent), health group (0.19 percent), education, recreation & sports group (0.06 percent), and the transportation & communications expenditure group (0.12 percent).
