Abstract

• West Sumatra NTP in July 2019 was recorded at 93.59 or up 0.13 percent compared to the previous month recorded amounting to 93.47 (June 2019). Price index received by farmers (It) experienced an increase of 1.00 percent and the price index what farmers paid (Ib) increased by 0.86 percent.

• In July 2019 the NTP for each subsector was recorded amounting to 91.63 for the food crops subsector (NTPP), 81.00 for the horticulture subsector (NTPH), 95.71 for the subsector people's plantation crops (NTPR), 103.25 for subsector livestock (NTPT), and 104.02 for the fisheries subsector (NTPN). The fisheries subsector is divided into two, namely capture fisheries and aquaculture subsectors with NTP is 107.09 and 103.28 respectively.

• Regionally, in West Sumatra in July 2019 this occurred inflation in rural areas was 1.09 percent due to the occurrence of inflation in all expenditure groups: group foodstuffs (2.19 percent), ready-made food, beverages, cigarettes, and tobacco (0.12 percent), housing group (0.29 percent), clothing group (0.05 percent), health group (0.17 percent), education, recreation & sports group (0.34 percent), and the transportation & communications expenditure group by 0.16 percent.
