Abstract

• West Sumatra's NTP in October 2019 was recorded at 95.87 or an increase of 0.02 percent compared to the previous month recorded amounting to 95.86 (September 2019). Accepted price index farmers (It) experienced an increase of 0.64 percent and the price index paid by farmers (Ib) has increased amounting to 0.62 percent.

• In October 2019 the NTP for each subsector was recorded amounting to 94.88 for the food crops subsector (NTPP), 82.47 for the horticulture subsector (NTPH), 97.79 for the subsector people's plantation crops (NTPR), 105.64 for subsector livestock (NTPT), and 103.90 for the fisheries subsector (NTPN). The fisheries subsector is divided into two, namely capture fisheries and aquaculture subsectors with NTP is 106.88 and 103.18 respectively.

• Regionally, in West Sumatra in October 2019 Inflation occurred in rural areas of 0.68 percent caused by all expenditure groups: material group food (1.18 percent), prepared food group, Beverages, Cigarettes and Tobacco (0.29 percent), housing group (0.18 percent), clothing group (0.07 percent), health group (0.21 percent), education, recreation & sports group (0.72 percent), and the transportation & communications expenditure group (0.18 percent).
