Abstract

• Number of foreign tourists (tourists) who come to Sumatra West via Minangkabau International Airport (BIM) in August 2019 reached 5,985 people, an increase of 15.16 percent compared to July 2019 which recorded 5,197 foreign tourists.

• Room Occupancy Rate (TPK) of star hotels in West Sumatra in August 2019 it reached an average of 54.69 percent; experience a decrease of 4.72 points compared to the ROR in July 2019 of 59.41 percent.

• Average length of stay of foreign and Indonesian guests at the hotel stars in August 2019 were recorded for 1.82 days; down 0.26 days when compared to July 2019 which was recorded at 2.08 days.

• Number of domestic air transportation passengers departing from Minangkabau International Airport in August 2019 increased by 0.64 percent compared to the previous month. Amount international air transportation passengers departing from BIM experienced a decrease of 36.48 percent compared to month previously.

• Number of domestic air passengers arriving at BIM in August 2019 it rose by 0.52 percent compared to last month previously. And international air transport passengers arrivals at BIM also experienced an increase of 41.35 percent compared to the previous month.

• Number of goods transported via domestic sea transportation West Sumatra in August 2019 experienced an increase of 30.22 percent compared to the previous month.
