Abstract

• Inflation in Padang City occurred due to an increase in all indices expenditure group. The largest increase occurred in the group food expenditure was 3.40 percent, followed by an increase the index in the clothing group was 0.88 percent. Inflation in Bukittinggi City due to an increase in all indices expenditure group. The largest increase occurred in the group food expenditure was 4.12 percent and followed clothing expenditure group was 2.25 percent.

• Inflation rate for the calendar year to June 2019 in Padang City and Bukittinggi City at 2.51 percent and 1.81 respectively percent. Padang City's year-on-year inflation rate (June 2019 against June 2018) was 3.55 percent, and Bukittinggi City was 4.09 percent.

• Of the 23 (twenty three) IHK cities in Sumatra, 22 (twenty two) cities experienced inflation and 1 (one) city experienced deflation. Inflation The highest occurred in Sibolga City at 2.25 percent and the lowest in Batam City it was 0.24 percent. Padang City ranks 7th (seventh) and Bukittinggi City ranks 6th (sixth) of all CPI cities experiencing inflation in Sumatra. By Nationally, Padang City ranks 11th (eleventh) and City Bukittinggi ranks 8th (eighth) out of 76 (seventy). six) cities experiencing inflation.
