Abstract

• Human development in West Sumatra continues to experience progress. In 2018, the Human Development Index (HDI) West Sumatra reached 71.73. This figure is increasing by 0.49 points or grew by 0.69 percent compared to 2017.

• Babies born in 2018 have hope for can live up to 69.01 years, 0.23 years longer compared to the previous year. The kids are on 2018 7 year old has hope of being able to enjoyed education for 13.95 years, longer 0.01 year compared to 2017. Meanwhile That is, the population aged 25 years and over on average has studied for 8.76 years, 0.04 longer year compared to the previous year. In 2018, Indonesian people fulfill their daily needs average per capita expenditure is 10,638 million rupiah per year, an increase of 332 thousand rupiah compared to year previously.
