Abstract

• West Sumatra NTP in April 2019 was recorded at 96.83 or down 0.03 percent compared to the previous month recorded amounting to 96.87 (March 2019). Price index received by farmers (It) experienced an increase of 0.39 percent and the index The price paid by farmers (Ib) has increased by 0.42 percent.

• In April 2019 the NTP for each subsector was recorded Amounting to 95.87 for the food crops subsector (NTPP), 80.32 for the horticulture subsector (NTPH), 102.64 for the subsector people's plantation crops (NTPR), 102.47 for subsector livestock (NTPT), and 106.20 for the fisheries subsector (NTPN). The fisheries subsector is divided into two, namely capture fisheries and aquaculture subsectors with NTP is 111.62 and 104.88 respectively.

• Regionally, in West Sumatra in April 2019 this occurred Inflation in rural areas was 0.51 percent due to the occurrence of inflation in all expenditure groups: group food expenditure (1.02percent), food group so, drinks, cigarettes, and tobacco (0.09 percent), group housing (0.12 percent), clothing group (0.07 percent), health group (0.51 percent), education group, recreation & sports (0.07 percent) and transportation & communication (0.05 percent).
