Abstract

• West Sumatra's NTP in June 2019 was recorded at 93.47 or down 1.94 percent compared to the previous month recorded amounting to 95.32 (May 2019). Price index received by farmers (It) experienced a decline of 0.54 percent and the price index what farmers paid (Ib) increased by 1.43 percent.

• In June 2019 the NTP for each subsector was recorded amounting to 91.87 for the food crops subsector (NTPP), 80.90 for the horticulture subsector (NTPH), 95.28 for the subsector people's plantation crops (NTPR), 102.75 for subsector livestock (NTPT), and 105.03 for the fisheries subsector (NTPN). The fisheries subsector is divided into two, namely capture fisheries and aquaculture subsectors with NTP is 108.17 and 104.27 respectively.

• Regionally, in West Sumatra in June 2019 this occurred inflation in rural areas was 1.81 percent due to the occurrence of inflation in 6 (six) expenditure groups: foodstuff group (3.73 percent), food group so, drinks, cigarettes, and tobacco (0.33 percent), group housing (0.23 percent), clothing group (0.31 percent), health group (0.38 percent) and education group, recreation & sports (0.09 percent). Meanwhile deflation occurred in the transportation & communication expenditure group amounting to 0.00 percent.
