Abstract

• West Sumatra's NTP in February 2019 was recorded at 97.75 Or an increase of 0.68 percent compared to the previous month recorded Amounting to 97.10 (January 2019). Price index received by farmers (It) experienced an increase of 0.26 percent and the index the price paid by farmers (Ib) decreased by 0.41 percent.

• In February 2019 the NTP for each subsector was recorded Amounting to 98.52 for the food crops subsector (NTPP), 79.66 for the horticulture subsector (NTPH), 103.43 for the subsector people's plantation crops (NTPR), 102.31 for subsector livestock (NTPT), and 107.55 for the fisheries subsector (NTPN). The fisheries subsector is divided into two, namely capture fisheries and aquaculture subsectors with NTP is 110.99 and 106.71 respectively.

• Regionally, in West Sumatra in February 2019 there was deflation in rural areas of 0.70 percent due to deflation in the expenditure group food ingredients by 1.91 percent. Meanwhile inflation occurs in 6 (six) expenditure groups: food group so, drinks, cigarettes and tobacco (0.40 percent), group housing (0.19 percent), clothing group (0.03 percent), health group (0.05 percent), education group, recreation & sports (0.30 percent) and transportation & communication (0.21 percent).
