Abstract

Statistics of Tourism of Sumatera Barat is a collection of data and information from various activities in the tourism sector which includes the number of foreign tourists (tourists) visiting West Sumatra, Room Occupancy Rate (TPK) of star hotels and non-star hotels, Average Length of Stay of Guests (RLMT) Domestics and Foreigners at star hotels in Sumatera Barat. The number of foreign tourists is data on foreign tourists who enter Indonesia through the immigration gate at Minangkabau International Airport (BIM).
Room Occupancy Rate is a comparison between the number of room nights used and the number of room nights available (in percent). This shows whether an accommodation is of interest to visitors or not. Average Length of Stay for Foreign and Domestics Guests is used to find out how long a guest stays in an accommodation at a certain time.
In December 2024, foreign tourist visits to West Sumatra through the Minangkabau International Airport entrance were 7.550 visits, experienced a decrease of 24.98 percent compared to the previous month. The Room Occupancy Rate (TPK) for star hotels in Sumatra Barat in December2024 was 51.96 percent, increased by 2.46 points compared to the previous month. The Room Occupancy Rate for non-star hotels in West Sumatra in December 2024 was 23.37 percent, increased by 4.82 points compared to the previous month. The average length of stay of guests at star hotels in December 2024 was recorded at 1.22 days, decreased by 0.01 days compared to the previous month.
