Abstract

In August 2024, year-on-year (y-on-y) inflation in West Sumatra Province was 2.22 percent with a Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 106.59.

The highest inflation occurred in Dharmasraya Regency at 3.45 percent with a CPI of 107.21 and the lowest occurred in Padang City at 1.98 percent with a CPI of 106.47.

On a month-to-month (m-to-m) basis, West Sumatra Province experienced deflation of 0.16 percent in August 2024.

Until August 2024, year-to-date (y-to-d) inflation in West Sumatra Province was 0.59 percent.
