Abstract

• There are no foreign tourists (tourists) who come to Sumatra

West through the Minangkabau International Airport (BIM) in May

2020. Previously, in April 2020 there were also no foreign tourists

to West Sumatra.

• Room Occupancy Rate (TPK) of five-star hotels in Sumatra

West in May 2020 reached an average of 11.27 percent; to experience

an increase of 2.18 points compared to the TPK in April 2020 of 9.09

percent.

• The average length of stay of foreign and Indonesian guests at hotels

starred in May 2020 recorded for 1.34 days; up 0.19 days if

compared to April 2020 which recorded 1.15 days.

• Number of domestic air transport passengers departing from

The Minangkabau International Airport in May 2020 dropped by

93.03 percent compared to the previous month. Total passenger

International air transport departing from BIM in May

2020 does not exist at all.

• Number of domestic air transport passengers arriving at BIM

in May 2020 decreased by 96.78 percent compared to the month

previous. And international air transport passengers who come

there is none at BIM.

• Amount of goods transported by domestic sea transportation

West Sumatra in May 2020 decreased by 3.77

percent compared to the previous month. Number of items unloaded

via domestic sea transportation in West Sumatra in May

2020 decreased by 21.69 percent compared to the month

previous.
